This update adds two new exciting structure types: inventory holder, and factory! The crafting scheme of the vanilla content pack has changed accordingly, some major bug has been fixed, and more things!

New features

  • Inventory holder structure type: This is a new structure type that holds an inventory. Right clicking on it opens a window to interact with.
    Specific properties:
    • Inventory size: the  size of the inventory (minimum: 1, maximum: 64).
    • Opened Sprite Sheet: the sprite sheet to display when the player has opened the structure.
    • Item handling at destruction: choose between drop items and destroy items when the structure is destroyed or deconstructed.
  • Factory structure type: New structure type that can transform items into other. Like inventory holders, interacting with it opens a window where you can place item recipes, item fuels, and pick up result items. The factory will automatically process any craft according to actual recipes and fuel.
    Specific properties:
    • Working Sprite Sheet: the Sprite Sheet to display when the structure is processing something.
    • Item handling at destruction:  choose between drop items and destroy items when the structure is destroyed or deconstructed.
    • Inventory sizes: choose the size of the recipes inventory, the fuels inventory, and the results inventory (all three between 1 and 16).
    • List of fuels: specify items that can be used as fuel and their fuel amount. Could be empty for a non fuel-based factory.
    • List of crafts: specify the craft this factory can achieve, for each craft:
      • List of item required as recipes
      • List of item as a result of the craft
      • Duration
      • Fuel consumption
  • New target type: Structures: New target type for effects (in the Targets tab): Structures, to target all structures. For now this target type is only useful with the Instant heal alteration. All relevant alterations will be supported in the future.
  • Damageable structure as property: the damageable structure type has been removed. In place, the "health" property is now a general property, in this way, any structure can be damageable. A value of 0 means that the structure is indestructible. (The auto upgrade tool make this change)
  • Shift + right click for deconstruct: for structures with a primary action (inventory holder, harvestable...), right click is already used. To deconstruct these structures (if they can be), shift key + right click is used (with default configuration. This shift key is the "split inventory" key configuration).

Vanilla changes

  • New structure: Crafting table. Made of wood and stone, this is a structure now required for most advanced crafts.
  • New structure: Chest. Made of wood and a bit of iron, useful to store things.
  • New structure: Furnace. Made of stone. Consume fuel to transform raw resources into refined one.
  • New resource items: iron bar, gold bar, pure arcanite, and coal. They are produced by the new furnace.
  • Renamed items: iron -> iron ore, gold -> gold ore.
  • Changed most of the item crafts to use the crafting table and refined resources.
  • New weapon item: Hammer. Made of wood and stone. Repair damaged structures.
  • Campfire is now a factory. Cooking raw meat is now done by the campfire itself. The old cooked meat item craft has been removed.
  • Typo fix in the campfire description: "witch" -> "which".

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a major bug that abnormally drop the hunger level when loading a saved game, causing instant death.
  • Fixed a major bug that cause crash when trying to save a game with a creature holding items (e.g. the wooden puppet).
  • Fixed camera stuttering effect by using smoothed delta time.
  • Fixed potential unexpected behavior when placing / removing structures at the same place.
  • Fixed a bug that shows items that does not exists in the player inventory when reviving in multiplayer.
  • Fixed a potential memory waste when reusing the same image in multiple Sprite Sheet in a content pack.

What's next?

The next update will finish adding things to make descent base: setup  spawn position, door structures, change the ground, and more!
